JamesBaldwin_OveeAs part of Black History Month, join American Masters for a free online screening and discussion of James Baldwin: The Price of the Ticket (1 hour and 25 minutes) with the film’s co-writers/producers Karen Thorsen and Douglas K. Dempsey. Our co-host AFROPUNK has its roots in a cult music film on black punks in America, and has since grown to become a cultural movement, festival and online community.

Also joining the chat is Kenyon Farrow, a black, gay writer and activist. Farrow is the US and Global Health Policy Director for Treatment Action Group, and a regular contributor to RH Reality Check. Kenyon’s work has been honored by TheBody.com, Out Magazine, The Advocate, and he was named one of Black Entertainment Television’s “Modern Black History Heroes” for 2011.
